AWARE Competitive Intelligence Resources
Recommended Web Sites for CI Research

This page links to a brief selection of some of the sites that AWARE uses when looking for competitive and marketing intelligence. There are many more - over the years we have compiled a large list of sites that we use for research.

The lists are biased towards UK / English language resources. This is not to say that major non-English resources are not important - they are. However to keep the lists to a manageable level we have excluded some local language sites - which include country specific search tools, local newspapers, and other business resources.

Part of the secret to effective competitive intelligence is to know where to look for information. We offer training in how to use the Internet for finding business intelligence, and have led workshops and seminars on this topic across the globe. If you are interested in learning more about using the Internet and online sources for competitive intelligence research, contact us. Or visit our Services Page to see how we can help you today!

We try and keep all links up-to-date. However sites frequently change or disappear. Please let us know if you find any dead links, or if you want us to add your site onto any of our source pages.

Read our review of this book

Competitors shows you how to determine what you need to know about competitors, analyse competitor strategy, predict likely next moves and link this into your own operations, avoiding many errors associated with traditional approaches.
Liam Fahey is one of the leading new thinkers on Competitive Strategy and this book introduces Fahey's concept of "competitor learning", giving guidelines for identifying and analysing key competitor data to help gain strategic insights. An important book - that should sit on any CI analyst's bookshelf.
